Well if he is gonna re heat treat it I think it would be good to go.

I was just sceptical because my shop rate is $80 per hour and I know other local shops that do gear and spline work with about the same rate.I just dont see how he can do it for that price.But hes a legit shop and says he can do it,so get it and let us know how it works out.Im sure there would be alot of people on here that would be interested in doing that same thing cuz thats cheap

Didn't mean to start a pissing match about 203's, but i have a 10 spline and 2- 27 spline range box in my garage, I was under the impression that the bearing sizes were different when stepping up to a bigger 32 spline female input . I want this ord shaft for my 465 and a 32 spline input for the 203. If it will work, Im happy thanks Frizzle Fry. Now I shoot myself in the foot for selling my 400/203 combo.

If it helps comfirm, I swapped a 32spline input into my 10spline 203 with no other modifications. I got my input shaft from a shop up in Oakland.

It's been a couple years, but I think it was around $65.

not bad at all i think im just gunna go get mine at a yard. but i got my 35 spline main shaft for the 465 today at a local yard for 20 damn good deal it would have been way more online at an oem place or something like that

The ORD shaft is a nice piece The beauty of the ORD shaft besides its durability is that there is no need to find a good 10 spline input.You just need to find a 400 input which are alot eaiser to come by and are almost always in primo shape.And with the interchangeability of 203s and the fact that people give them away,it can be fairly easy to get a doubler together using the ORD shaft.

The best place I have found to pick up 400 inputs is the for sale forums here,Pirate,and eBay.

So start saving yer pennies.
