Mine shifts on the fly.That's the only way mine will shift right now.

Care to define that.
Depende en que it's still full-time 4WD, in which case you can shift out in and out of LOC on the fly but not from Hi to Lo. No hubs in this scenario.
If instead it's been converted to 2WD, then same thing, no Hi-LO shifting on the fly, and you gotta get out to lock/unlock the hubs, so you best be stopped to change 2WD-4WD

Well, I am driving down the highway. It is snowing and the snow starts sticking to the roadway. A few miles later are a few inches of snow on the roadway. So I shift into 4 wheel drive. That is call shifting on the fly. Opposed to stopping and shifting into 4 wheel drive - usually because the hubs are not locked or you need to go 4Lo. I am guessing you have a different term for this.
No, just asking, just don't want someone to think they can shift into low while driving, ya never know.
Probably only give that a try once
