Well, I am driving down the highway. It is snowing and the snow starts sticking to the roadway. A few miles later are a few inches of snow on the roadway. So I shift into 4 wheel drive. That is call shifting on the fly. Opposed to stopping and shifting into 4 wheel drive - usually because the hubs are not locked or you need to go 4Lo. I am guessing you have a different term for this.Care to define that.

Probably only give that a try onceNo, just asking, just don't want someone to think they can shift into low while driving, ya never know.
