Doing a doubler swap and wondering about fluid type to use. Detron ATF or 89-90 gear oil? Thanks for any info.

If you ain't hurt, you ain't playin' hard enough.

atf was speced as the fluid in the 80s
lighter fluid = better fuel economy
I use the 80 90 but a synthetic would be ideal for those that dont change the fluid regularly
i buy gear oil 20l at a time and have the pump, when I used to play every weekend I had to drain the water fairly frequently.

I've always used 80-90w. I think got that from the Haynes manual.

Sure your Durango can go any place I can go, (if I hook a strap to it).

That is why I was asking. That it spec. do different fluids based on years? I'm going with 80-90 gear oil.
