205 for auto question...

Okay, since I am so challenged in mechanics so far, I will buy it, and from there, you guys can help me find out what I need. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Since your ultimate goal is to put this on a TH400 (and since I am already talking to you about the 455/TH400 I'm selling) I have a suggestion. This may not be the most cost effective or easiest way to go. If you were to pass on this one and put the $300 towards a TH400 version with adapter and shifter instead you will be money ahead in the long run. It is going to cost you another $300-500 Canadian to convert that NP205 over to 32 spline ($200 US for the parts kit from ORD plus local machine work cost).

I think I could help you find a TH400 version NP205 for less money. I saw one in WA state for $200 recently and will try to dig it up for you /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

For that price it should come with the adaptor to mate to your tranny and local grade 8 bolts from the hardware store should do it.

Two years ago you could have got $150 for just that adapter and drive sleeve.

Not sure what they're going for now.

Never mind, things have changed, kennyw may beable to find a th-400 version np05 for me instead /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif
