Well I'm right in the middle of swapping out my th350/203 for a 465/205. (Hope you guys are all right about this being worth it). And I had a question about the front driveline.
The 203 that came out has the 30 spline square flange style front output. The 205 that I'm putting in has the 10 spline u-bolt style flange. I bought a donor truck to make the swap from so I have all parts for both drivetrains.
Looking at the two drivelines side by side two things are apparant to me. 1: The one that came off the 205 is totally screwed. Froze up, and needs 3 new joints. 2: The driveline off my old 203 is in good shape and seems to be to be substantially stronger (Am I correct in this assumption?)
Anyways, I'm trying to figure out the most painless and least expensive route to go. Can I get a 10 spline square flange for the 205 that will just bolt on? Or should I just throw new u-joints in the old 205 driveline and use that?
Thought I'd throw a few pics on just for fun.

10 spline 205 never had a flat flange, they were all yoke style. You can swap a 30 or 32 spline front output into your 205 and use a flat flange. For obvious reasons i would swap the 30 spline so you can use your existing 203 flange. Your only other option is to install new u-joints in the 205 shaft.

Also keep in mind that if you swap a 30 spline shaft into your 205 you'll need to have the 203 shaft shortened in order to use it.
