205 side mount~ L~ bracket,,,to use or not to use,,, pic?

Hey ,thanks! Cant beleive the parts are comming from HI, lol, so ironic. :haha:Cant beleive no one just sells a simple brace like this. Ill run it too, until I can get a nice fancy one ,awesome! :woot:

if i recall there is the older one for 67-72 trucks and 73-up trucks . but i could be wrong . best check.

Im having a hard time checking, there arent any holes on my frame there so I would have to drill, but ,yeah ,great point:doah: Chris Perry, the ones you posted ,what are those from? I see you have a 75, just wondering if those are to our 2nd gens?

I bought it for a 75, but it is too long to just bolt up. It may be because I am using the incorrect crossmember.:dunno: For it to work it would need to be cut an inch shorter and two new holes drilled. If I were you I would do some measuring and see if it would match for your setup.

if Z71parametics doesn't work and mine will I'll ship it to you, I'll even throw in the bushings. If I don't give it to someone I will end up chucking it when I clean up around here.

Is there a part number for the bushings, I was thinking about using sway bar end links but I don't know if those are beefy enough

Sweet 75! We both measured from the TC to frame today ,from his first gens TC to> frame,is 2 1/2 inches, and its the same distance with my 75. I DO need bushings tho:waytogo: ill shoot u a pm....

From the frame to the side of the t-case wasn't the issue, it was the height. The transfercase needed to sit about an inch lower for the bracket to sit properly @ the bottom of the frame.

Exactly. when I bolted mine to the frame, with the bushings, like that pic, the holes that are supposed to line up with the t-case are an inch too low. I easily could have trimmed the bracket and drilled new holes, but that just isn't my style.:doah:

If you need to fab a brace, let me know. I made one similar to the one that Z71paramedic made for my 82 blazer and it worked far better than the stocker and was cheap to build, I have everything but the bushing here and I can run down to WFO mid week and pick on up.
