im trying to put a 205 to a 700r4, what do i use to hook these together. 205 came from th400. thanks

First you either need a spacer and also the TH350/205 adapter, or replace the output shaft of the tranny with an Advanced Adapters shaft then use the TH350/205 adapter. I heard that the 205 behind the 700R4 without using the spacer will give you clearance problems with the front driveshaft hitting the tranny pan. You also would need to convert the 205 input to a 27 spline input. I am not sure if you can go backwards though from the 400 version to the 350 version, maybe someone else will chime in on that.

[darn] AA. Their shaft costs $ (or time, same thing) to install cause u have to tear down the whole tranny... it costs 3x as much as the spacer... and when you're done you have tranny pan clearance issues. yay!! I use the spacer... havent had a single problem... I run a deep AL pan... spent less $.. and couldnt be happier.

Advance Adapters sells a new output shaft for a 700R4 that makes it a 32-spline output and has the correct adapter to bolt up to a 205. However, it isn't cheap. It was around $500 just for the parts the last time I looked. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif
