Im running a 700/205, the 700 has the rods from the bottom of the flexplate cover to the mounts on the engine block. If i run the torque rod from the block to the 2 mounting holes in the 205, will that be strong enough to keep the t-case adapter from breaking? Or should i just run a frame mount?

I was thinking about frame flex working against the mount and possibly twisting the opposite of torque output and increasing the chance of breakage. With a rod it would be all contained in the motor/trans/case.

Well the factory started out with frame mounts and then went to the torque rod. 73s had frame mounts. At least all the ones I have seen did.

I think the rod is a better idea

I agree, the rod keeps the whole drivetrain twisting together in one direction, while the frame mount just HOLDS IT STILL, lol
