Is there any kind of linkage adjust for a 208? My shifter pops out of 4hi periodically for no reason and I do not have a body lift.

There is linkage, but that's probably not your problem. The transfer case is wearing out. I think it's the shift fork (I could be, and probably am, wrong though). The 208 is know for this problem.
There is a linkage adjustment b ut like was said the shift fork pads are a common wear item. I'm helping a buddy go through his 208 now and the pads on his range fork for missing and so was about 1/4" of the mounting location for the shift pads.
