24 volt starter M1109

Sorry if this is easy to find, I couldn't find it. Is there some place to easily buy a 24v starter for a M1009 Blazer off the shelf? I am in the chicago area, my starter is done. Someone put in a 12 volt, it spun like crazy but now its fried and I need to get my truck going without waitng for parts in the mail.

I have purchased 2 starters from these guys, very pleased. I just converted my M1009 to 12v.

I can second the DB Electrical recommendation.

You may also want to look at swapping over to 12v system. SteelSoldiers.Com has lots of info on CUCVs and the 12v swap.

The quickest way to go is to look for a local place that will rebuild the original 24V starter if you still have it.

Local shop rebuilt it. It was 12 volt, lasted a long time, spins like crazy. I plan on converting system to 12 volt this weekend. What size fuse should be between the bus bar and glow plug relay?
