Matt those things are pretty much press fit but if I can get it out w/o messin it up I'll include it.

Ring Gear Removal....
The cleanest "garage floor" method we use for remove involves a sawzall with a 12" heavy duty blade. We basically part the case on both sides of the gear and relax the fit with a chisel. Other wise clamp the sucker in a large bandsaw if there is access to one.
