241 mechanical vs electric interchangible (need help so i can go home)

ok so i have a re manufactured mechanical 241 and a trashed electronic 241 now the speedo is of no use to me, but the tail housing on the mechanical one has a like 1 1/2 inch circular hole in it for what i assume is the speedo adapter for the mechanical speedo, i have nothing to put in that hole to make it work, can i jus swap tail shaft housings and call it done or can i find that part localy? thanks. /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif
