Is it possible to convert a electric speedo to manual on a 241 if so what is needed:confused:

I think you have to change the whole back half of the case. But I'm not for sure. Try a search. This is one of the things I've got on my long term mods list.

1989 is the only year of mechanical speedo for a 241, go find yourself a 1989 241 and swap over the required pieces.

So basically to make it mechanical all I need to do is take off the back half. Also would it be possible to use parts from a 208 I have one sitting in my yard.

No the 208 stuff will not work. You will need the speedo housing and the gear for the shaft. The shaft is the same from the electronic to the mechanical.

So basically all I need is the housing and the blue gear for the speedo right everthing else is the same.

Don't know what the end application/desire is, but is swapping over to electronic speedometer an option?

Not sure which one is a better option for you work-wise, but the electronic speedo is nicer to run for sure.

Yep. The hard part is going to be finding somebody willing to split the pieces out of the case. Are you planning to replace a 208 with a 241?
