I remember seeing a post somewhere, can't remember if it was here or on Pirate, but using a 208/241 with the front output cut off, using just the low range portion. I've seen it using as a doubler, but I want to keep the rear output, then with a small drive shaft going in to a div 205.

I never messed with a 208/241 before, would it be just cut the housing, take the chain and junk off?? Make a plate to seal up the hole???

Should be possible just as you said it. One issue I see that I don't like too much is the 241 will only be supported on the front and there really isn't anything on the backside of it to mount a support to. I suppose the stock t-case is mounted like that anyway but I'm convinced that's the reason case failures aren't terribly uncommon.

Yeah it's not the traditional way, but with a crew there is enough room to run a setup like this. I don't really need a doubler, but it won't cost me $1000 plus, so thought I'd try it for the hell of it.
