well for christmas i got a $250 certificate to summit racing and i need to figure out how to spend it.

i have an 86 k5 blazer and i have a few mods done like my new motor, but instead of listing everything i have done with the risk of leaving something out, im wanting everyone to just start listing off the best ways to spend the $250 and if i have it already than i will tell ya and if not i will see how bad i need it.

thanks in advance for any help

Light weight pullyes

oops forgot to mention i have an sm465, but good advice,

i have the loomed spark plug wires,

and i will look into the alternator.

Put it towards some type of OBA setup if they have it. Otherwise maybe some of the tools they have available. Let me look through my latest catalogue and I'll get back to you.

383 stroker if you havent yet would be nice and they got em for around $200, other then that i'd say an electric drive to free up some ponies, aluminum rad, battery relocater kit, timing gears, performance distributer just to name a few off the top of my head.

well i just built the motor so im gonna pass up the stroker kit, but ya mean an electric drive?

torque cam
gears for the axles
aluminum radiator
brake upgrade (discs)
manual hubs (warn's)
gauges
shifter
SHOCKS

OBA is On Board Air system. Whether it is a York compressor that is engine driven or a Powertank prtoable system they are usually used for airing up tires after wheeling or running air tools on the trail to do fixes. Very helpful systems for offroading.

carb selection

well i have decided on the carb, now i know its been asked many times before and i have searched but i will ask again

motor is a 70's 4 bolt main 350, bored .40, has flat top pistons, stock heads, comp cams extreme 4x4 cam and lifters. with edlebrock performer intake and flotech headers

now i have a edlebrock on it now but im getting sick and tired of the hesitation at idle that i have not been able to cure and i have heard a lot of people have problems with edlebrock doing this.

so im open to any suggestions for carbs and reasoning behind that carb, i want kick in the pants acceleration, and good off road control for a truck that will see simple trails no crazy stuff.

if there is a thread started already about best carb selection please direct me to it, if not fire away with suggestions
