My '74 is the only one I have seen here in West Michigan since I moved back in the spring of '03.

Down here I see them all the time. There are even a couple of first gens around me:D. I need to find a me a windshield frame and make a Faux-2nd gen:D.

I guess we are lucky up here in the pacific northwest I see a few around all the time (I daily drive a 73) and have seen a couple 1st gens in the last couple of months.

I just went to South Bass Island on Lake Erie last weekend, and there was a pretty nice red one running around topless. It drove by us twice.

Also saw a really nice scout 800 up there too, didnt look to have any rust if at all, now thats a rare sighting.

i just spotted another one yesterday, that makes 4 i know of local (counting minew). tommorrow i am gonna go check it out & see if they will part w/ it. it was sitting out behind a buisness, i can't believe i never noticed it before.

I've been kickin around the idea of cuttin up mine to go full vert. This thread has worsened the itch.:haha:

I can't think of but a couple I've seen in passing around here.

when i lived in texas i had my DD 75 and a rustless 75 gmc jimmy parts rig. when i moved back to MO. i had to ditch the parts rig. i hated it, but oh well. heres a pic of the two together for the last time. i see about 3-6 per year. ive a trained eye for such thangs

Glad to see some more MO folks. Welcome to the site. I also have said trained eye. You going to Springfield Truck jambo in May?

LOL I think my eye needs a little more training...

I can't count the times I've sped through traffic, or went around the block, or out of my way to get a better look at what might be a full convertable, only to find a halftop with the steel roof painted white! :D

my blazer wont be running until mid may, so i prolly wont go. id hate to go to something like that in my S10

Well it's a bit of a haul for me to go, but I am just going to watch. My rig won't be ready yet. I Can't miss bigfoot vs. gravedigger and the rock crawling events.

I used to see one every day until I sold my '73. It's somewhere in Atlanta, but I haven't seen it since.

Craig, I remember seeing them rusted out as a kid when they were only about 5 years old. That's just part of living in Cleveland.

i saw what looked like a 73 on friday in pittsburg kansas. it was white with a good sized dent in the drivers door

I didn't even know they were so desired till I bought my '75 in Feb. I will try to find an online picture host and show a pic. It's in pretty good shape.
