2wd 5lug to 6lug??

broke a couple of teeth off the ring gear on my 12 bolt , buddy gave me a truck of same year w/12bolt but 2WD...can I just swap axles and convert the 5lug 12bolt to 6lug?? Or is it not this easy?? Input appreciated...T.I.A.

Yep, as far as I know you can just swap the shafts.

They will swap right over.I helped a friend do this a few years ago.

that's so friggin cool...I just found out the gear ratio is exactly the same crappy 3.07 too!!, oh well, guess my truck will be trailing again by this weekend...thanx vatos!!
I was already dealing w/Randy's ring & pinion for the parts needed for the repair, guess I'll have beer money for a while, yeah baby!!!
