2WD CK5

I'm going to direct you over to some other threads that discuss production numbers. I don't think you can get exact numbers for all years, partly because Chevy and GMC numbers were tracked separately, and rumor has it GM lost some records in a fire or something. IIRC they were all 4x4 after 1982 or 1984. From the first link below, less than 10% sold were 2x4, but that's only the first few years. BTW, the 2WD and 4WD versions were all badged K5. There was no C/K designation like with the other trucks.

Yeah, "CK5" is shorthand for Colorado K5, it was never used by GM. There was C10, C20, C30, K5, K10, K20, K30 for Chevy, then C15, C25, C35, K5, K15, K25, K35 for GMC. C denoted 2WD, K denoted 4WD. There is more with the oddball R/V stuff at the end up the square body run and then the subtle changes once the GMT400's were intro'd.

The VIN tag in the door jamb is clearly stamped CK5
