2wd Th400

Ok, if that's the case, then it is "same as 203" which is the shortest. First I've heard that. Sorry about the nut/bolt thing, but I thought I recalled those being held by a nut, hence the comment about cutting. Been a LONG time since I saw one...

To the original poster:
Do the research and learn what you need for your setup.
Then, unbolt the tailhousing from the T400 you have to work with.
Meausure the shaft stickout length and see if it will match one of the listed applications. You will also need to be concerned about the amount of splines that you are dealing with. Even if the 2wd shaft stickout will work, you may not have enough spline engagement.

Post up a pic of the output shaft of the 2wd T400 you're working with.
I have both the 203 and the 205 version T400s that I may dig out and snap a pic of.[/quote]

Thanks for the offer. I will definitely get back to you with this next time I get to the shop.

I think I'm willing to pay the price (within reason) to make my T350 version 205 work with my 2WD TH400 I just need to know if it can be done. As far as spline count can I swap?

Looks like it. Doesn't say if you need to bore the case though. If that is a "stock" sized bearing, you'll still need to bore the case to fit it. And you'll still need the right output on the tranny since it does not appear to be included.
