3/4 Ton Swap is DONE: **d-shaft question**

The problem is when Avery makes a mistake everyone is too busy kicking him in the nuts that noone reads and learns he did what we told him to do in the first place. 6 pages and 2 weeks later I feel he has a safe set of axles under his rig. Granted it should have taken 2 days but hey he got there in the end and learned a few valuable lessons. There is never enough time to do the job right but there is always enough time to do it over. You live and you learn. Now when you go 1 ton you will know what the hell to do:D

why? Black steelies look kick a$$...

Did you ever decided about that lift and wheel/tire package?

nope have till april so ima think this one out. my dad gave me his truck the 3/4 ton and ima get that runnin and use it as my dd and the k-10 put the lift and tires on that one

yep I'll get pics up once I get the grinding done this afternoon...
One thing I noticed was that although these 6 lug calipers work they don't stick out as far so I won't have nearly as much to grind...

Oh and along those lines...the metal dust shield that goes around the rotor...what is it made out of? I tried to hammer it down a little bit instead of grinding it and it's quite springy...it would flex but pop right back to where it was...

WTF is with you guys and locking this thread? Nothing is wrong with a long thread that shows the trials of my 3/4 ton swap...shesh!

OK the truck is officially DONE!
I'll get pics up tomorrow evening when I get home from work...Thanks for the help guys.

Oh btw the truck looks sick with the black steelies and all black drivetrain.

Other than being an attention whore and a know-it-all, you sure used up quite a bit of bandwidth on this site with your pics.
