I know, not many of you even have stock front springs, but if you do, post up. The 2 leaf ones I have are soft and spongy. Going for stockish hight (maybe zero rates) Are the 3 leave ones super harsh?

I've had mine in a crew cab, the extra long wheelbase will make them softer, I rode in a regular cab with 3 leaves and it rode harsher.
I had 4 leaves in one of my crew cabs, someone put a fourth and it rode like a brick. I took it off and it was much better with just 3:rolleyes:

My '77 has the 3 leaves, it's kinda bouncy because the short wheelbase. Not like Ranchos or anything though.

had them in the k5 back when it was stock. but also had a big bbumper and winch, and they rode ok. i would say better than a 2 leaf, but not better than a short 4 leaf aftermarket pack.
the crew has them. ehhh. its ok, i can do the speed humps at 25mph, but wouldnt be able to in a blazer.
if you want some, you can try the ones out of the crew cab after i lift it. the bushings are even pretty good.

I might just take you up on that. are you putting the lift from the burb on the crew cab?

second question- do the 3 leaf packs make for a taller ride hight than the 2s?

Yes a little bit.
And I have a set I could sell you if I ever make it that way again.
still have those fenders in case you haven't found some local.
I know you said you would travel a bit, would 360 miles be a bit?
I am in SLC, UT every week now and I could bring them with me.
You might be able to make some money too if you grab stuff that people in CO need from here, we could do a relay.

you'll have to refresh my memory on the fenders :dunno:

I just turned a 3 leaf front pack into a 5 leaf pack with an EZ inch. Results will be in soon.

Qualifier: the 3 leaf was completely shot. 2 leaf pack that was added wasn't a whole lot better but still better.

so you combined a 3 leaf and 2 leaf pac with an easy inch? how much total lift are you planning to get from this?

Well, 3" over where it is now which should be a inch of lift I'd guess. It's sagged out pretty bad.

Ended up at about 2.5" of lift. Front suspension is very firm.

I put a three pack in my Suburban with a zero rate, and with minimal cutting fit 35x12.50x16.5's. It rides rough, but I don't know if it was rougher than before or not.

This is pretty much what I would like to do as well. keeping stock ralleys and little to no noticable trimming. Got any picks of this set up?

and, off topic, but what gear ratio, motor, trans do you run with that?

I have a cheesy build thread somewhere. It is a 1988 V10 with a 350 TBI (not stock), an SM465/NP208 (from a 1985 K10, it was a TH700R4) and a Dana 44/14bff from a 1976 K20 with 4.10:1 gears.
