test drive day around the block went not so good .
running fine and then all it wanted to do was stall out or run crazy no middle ground . went around the 3 block loop of my area and got it back to the shop and took over a dozen times of start and stall to get it in the shop . so i checked a few things . the electric fuel pump is doing 3.5psi on a good gauge at the filter body . the edelbrock 1407 750cfm carb had the accelerator pump link on the top hole and if i recall they like the middle hole and i think on top it was flooding it out . also on the top hole i think it was making my throttle sticky / stiff . got late and didn't want to tick off the family's in the area with the exhaust she has
so will try again in the am .
i re-checked the fuel lines and the 3/8" is my suction / 5/16" tank drain capped off / 1/4" return for diesel was capped off and the HUGE filler cap only vents pressure so i opened the return line to a vent .
still need shocks . was a bouncy test drive !
put dash pad on after i figure out the inop heater fan . has no power from inside to the resistor to the fan .
flush cooling system and put coolant in . water now for testing and flushing .
some more gas and road time .
few pics of the work .
did a fan switch on/on . 1 way its auto off the sensor in the intake coolant runner . the other is fan full on all the time .relay is a bosch continuous duty rated 75amp 12volt unit i got from parts junking a few years ago .
fan is bolted to angle iron bolted to stock fan shroud hold down points . the fan is 2012 and newer ford focus 2.0L unit i had from a scrap parts pickup . going to try it and see what she does . moves a lot of air and its not even close to the rad like it should yet .
also did a clutch bypass switch in the dash . has to be held to bypass . and the pedal switch works also . all the work i have been doing it sure is nice to have this sucker .
winch cable on and looking ready for action .
and the blazer is in the shop backwards to show it run's as my driveway is not easy to turn around in by hand not running . and if you have been here you will know this . the grading was all done wrong years ago .

(for the little amount in it ) took the carb apart and found some decent junk inside from dried up gas and stuff . even the filter screens on the needle valve inlets were plugging from the old fuel system in the k30 . cleaned her up good / blew out all the ports / adjusted the floats for max and min height / adjusted the pump arm linkage for correct pump arm stick out and lubed the linkage a bit and she was ready for install . put her on and primed the fuel system with the electric pump and she fired off much better and run nicer . after buttoning up a few items she went on 2 test drives around 3 miles each and the second one
it looks way better now .

..... oh ya and the shop needs a massive clean up
