3 to 4 build for the family : IT'S ALIVE and on the road having FUN !

Only a couple minor updates, I got a spring and weight kit for the MSD and a calibration kit for the edelbrock carb. Played with the springs a bit, I now have all in timing around 2400 RPM which really woke it up - still need to adjust the stops to get a bit more timing but pretty happy with quick spring swap.

Took it out on the trails, friend of mine is right, lockers front and rear almost make trails too easy... Only bad thing is the wife wasn't too happy - a few burps of the throttle made a couple of the trails too much for her Rubicon :)

Sorry no pics - I'll try and get a video up soon

So I put a light set of springs in the dizzy recently, first time at highway speed you would have thought I still had the 6.2 diesel in it... So after pulling off and finding a local tractor supply to get a cheap toolset (of course I took my small toolset out before taking off) I pulled the cap and put a different set of springs on it in the parking lot. All is better - no more ping and was able to give it the advance it wanted.

Another great day cruising in the k5 - wrenching on the side of the road is just part of the adventure!

if you had a pro flo 4 efi system all that work is just a touch away on the tablet & no under hood work for adjustments . :D i know your old school tho and like it .

Proflo would be sweet... But at half the cost of what I bought the m1009 for...

Gotta go after creature comforts first to keep the wife happy !

I put it on the roof
I had eyelets screwed in the top.
If you want a nice top, you can sandwich a plate between the top and the bedside and hook to it.
There are also rubber wedges to put under the kayaks to keep them from wobbling

ruff stuff diff cover on the back now . i think the front ( already on ) was a diy4x unit maybe been almost 15 years since install i forgot . maybe the owner will recall ? ? ? @manchildau65

edit: cleaning up the front cover its not like the ones for sale on diy4x . so i guess by comparing it to my extra ruff stuff cover its one of his on the 60 . no big deal as there both super beefy strong .

guts looked good and clean . magnet had a lot of factory casting leftover junk on it so i swapped in a new clean one .

left rear brake day today . this side was about on the rivets unlike the right rear was gone .
