$3000 to spend for 6\"lift, rims, tires?

I am curious, I have $3000 to spend on my blazer and I want to lift it 6". Is it possible for me to get a 6" lift, eagle 589 rims, and some 36" super swampers? I know that I will hae to make some other mods, ex. steering arm, and stuff, but what wouldbe the necessary things i would need with a 6"lift for mild off-roading and everyday use? Please help, Thanks! Also for a 6" lift what would be the best rim size to go with a 6" lift and tire size? Thanks, Also is it necessary to get new drive shafts or ange the drive shaft for this lift? What would be the best brand(best 6" lift for the best price) to use?

Yup, you will need new drive shafts .... 3000$'s should cover it easily I think ! It will be even cheaper if you install it all yourself

Get yourself a skyjacker 6" lift (all springs). It will come with shims to re-angle the axle for the driveshaft angles. YOu'll probably have to lower the transfer case a tad, and lengthen the driveshaft a tad. This will cost you less than a grand so now you have 2k left over.
Go to the membership join page, send Steve 25 dollars and get a membership. this will save you 10% on purchasses from 4wheel parts.
Get your wheels, tires and lift there if they have everything you need. You should be able to get all that there for less than 3000 and have just enough left over to call Steve Watson at ORD and get the steering brace package, bolt on and weld on. then you might be ready to party.
Hope this helps. Your question was a little broad to give specifics.

dang i wish i had 3000 to spend. lol. well since yer the lucky one i'd say you would also need some gears to turn those swampers. i would go with 4.56. u will need a steering arm. if u have some money left over with all that then maybe get some better shocks. now as for the lift it all depends. i would recommend the tuff country ez-ride with springs all round. don't get blocks. as for the drive shaft question it would be best to ask the people who know more bout that kinda stuff. this is all my opinion. hope i help. later.

You can re-gear later after you get some more money. You'll still be able to "putt" around with those big tires and wheenie gears.

Re: $3000 to spend for 6

You might want to consider some type of axle upgrade. Those 10 bolts really shouldn't be wheeled with 36's.

A buddy of mine just put a 6" lift and some 35's on his 1985 1/2 ton and is now whining because he has no power. Well with 35's and 3.08's what do you expect?

One more thing.... Why do you want Swamper tires if you only gonna be mild wheelin? Looks? Well, that not a good idea, less your ready for the ruff riding.
If I was you, I'd get the procomp 35's from 4wheelparts as they are on sale for 4 for the price of three and since you's gonna be driving around on the street alot, this will improve the road manners 10 fold.
I just got my Swampers, Radials even, and man this f-ing thing feel like an earthquake. Yeahm they are pretty quite for what they are but it feels like the San Andra-ous (<--spelling) fault is coming apart for the last time everytime I take off and stop. Doors, ashtray, mirrors, tools, windows, seats, and yes... even my teeth rattle and vibrate like a biotch. So with that being said.... make sure you know what you want to do before you go and by some bad ass off-road tires adn use them for a lot of stree--e-eeee-eeee-e-eee-e-eet use.
