305 to 454 engine swap motor mount bracket

I appreciate every one's, input waiting for diy4x mounts to get here.hopefully I'll have them in this weekend ,and it will solve all my problems except which brand of headers and apllication do I get for 86 blazer with 454. Do I order them for 86 k20/30 or 86 suburban ?

454 only came in K30 and 2 wheel drive Suburbans from factory. So look at K30 for headers.

You don't always need a real application, many header companies are smart enough to offer parts for popular swaps. For instance, Hedman's catalog has big block headers listed for square bodies that would not have had one.

Oddly enough I talked to them 2weeks ago ,but they told me they didn't have a listing for 454 86 k5 blazer ,I'll call them again

Years ago,I bought a pair of used BBC headers ,unknown brand,at a swap meet for $10,the guy said they were on a 72 Chevelle..
I figured I could get my money back selling them to someone else, if they didn't work on my truck..

I put them on the 454 I had put in my '77 GMC K2500 I had, they fit pretty good, the passenger side I had to tweak the collector with a long bar to miss the spring shackle, but otherwise they cleared everything else OK..
I only had them on it a year or two before they rotted thru though,I put the cast iron manifolds back on..didn't really notice any great power increase with the headers, they made more noise though!..

I didn't miss the exhaust leaks at the gaskets and collectors either once they were removed..around here even cast iron manifolds rot away pretty quickly,if I were to use headers again I'd go for stainless steel ones..

The rest of the exhaust is set up for headers, in really good shape, except for rotted headers, lol
Same here in new Hampshire with the rott though
