I own the same year K5..In My opinion I would say 31 also. I have a nasty SB in mine with 33s and stock 3.08 gears and have changed 3 trans in it. Thanks to the info on here I have learned that unless your running a lower gear ratio (higher numericaly) dont go bigger. Since I have been through this before,trust me it sucks when things dont work out. Mine is getting 4.56s and a new trans in about a month. Depends on what your future plans are for the truck. Mine is strictly on road and a tad off here and there. My .02 cents anyway.
