Nah, you just need to get creative with the grinder....I had them on 1 ton gear.

Does grinding the drums affect the brakes (other than the obvious heat consideration)?

No need to grind drums, just caliper and backing plate, not too hard to do.

Tyler's got it...and a 3/4 ton is a lot less grinding than my one ton was. I know...I've done one of each! Your drums will fit fine.
