I believe you can use the trans/adapter/case and just need the to use the driveshafts from a 700/208 Blazer , as well as the 208 shifter . You may need a rear joint adapter , and the crossmember /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

I have everything that i need, I was just wondring if it will go in without any major problems.I was told by some guy that it would not work but he did not give a reason.

Ok it will work , and heres why :

1. Your transmissions and the engine , all have the same mounting pattern . So the trans will bolt up to your engine no problems

2. The frame and wheelbase should be the same length . 106.5 wheelbase on both your year and the donors year . The frames body mounts changed , but I still think the motor is mounted in the same spot , so since it all goes back from the motor your good .

3. The trans mount crossmember can be moved on the frame if needed .

If you bolt it all together , use the right crossmember , mount the shifter in the right spot , use the right length driveshafts , buy the adapter u-joint , it WILL fit .

The other guy doesn't know anything .

And besides if it wasn't an exact fit , there are many of us here that would help you through it to make it fit . /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

Thanks for your help/forums/images/graemlins/bow.gifI didn't want to tear into it blind. I plan on starting on it next week while i am on vacation.

When I purchased my 85k5 it had already been modified. They droped in a 350 and the 700R4 and 208 Xfer case.
