Chevy's in the wild

Walmartians can also be entertaining when seen from afar.

I'm reminded of the live interview on the news with the lady at the dollar store 20 yeasr ago...

Her response.. "I love the dollar store because you don't have to dress up like 'ur going to walmart or sumthin"

:haha:

The green truck appeared to be the business owners work truck and/or rolling advertising billboard.

The K-10 was a nice driver that appears to have an older set of D44/12B axles swapped - bonus points for still having the Spicer Hubs !

I always thought those tailgate lights came as a package from the RO5 Dooley RPO but I never researched it so basically what I’m say’n is that I just don’t know…

Is that a K30 tailgate or could you get those on a 1/2 ton?

I guess I've never paid attention, were those lights used on all the 1 tons originally, or just the dually trucks? I thought it was just duallies.

I would "assume" that if the tailgate lights were an option on lighter trucks, they would have been part of the cab light option that was available on the lighter trucks.

Normally those light are required when you have 8-8,5' wide vehicle so I would assume it was a dually thing

My old SRW crew cab had cab lights but I can’t remember if it had the tailgate lights, I can’t find a pic of the rear of it before it got a facelift (which included a tailgate).

Here’s John’s ‘91 SRW V-3500 with no tailgate lights.

I believe that it was a width thing on DRW truck with a bed/hips that triggered the mandate for these lights.
Note: the narrow DRW cab chassis trucks did not have any makeshift rear lights requirements - only the really wide DRW trucks.

I believe this is the same D.O.T. requirement for all trucks - when I ordered my ‘02 Dodge BR2500 truck with cab lights I was disappointed when it arrived because it did not have the three additional tailgate lights.
I felt as if I was robbed but then I noticed that none of the SRW trucks had them and all the DRW regular trucks had them.
