well im looking for an engine to clean up, not rebuild. perferably in the new mexico, southwest texas area. a 350, or bigger 4-bolt main im on a budget so i dont have a 1000 dollars to spend

If you can get it shipped for cheap, I have an 84 in my 3/4 ton I am parting out, it has 81k original and I freshened it up last week and checked it out:
New spark plugs, wires and new oil and checked compression:
185 PSI on all 8 cylinders.
Runs good.
Complete for $500, or $400 for just the long block.
