While searching the web for an answer for this I found 2 people with the exact same issue and neither of them had a post answering. Won't do that to you guys, makes me wanna go postal........

The impeller is cast and has a solid back so I can't actually see the fins even pulling the rear cover.

I know the pumps can be rebuilt, is it as simple as smashing the shaft backwards through the snout? I suppose you could use a press, but if it doesnt work, why not just release some aggression? Lol
