350 tbi has play in the throttle shaft

once upon a time I went over and talked to Vic... told him I was not interested in the other guys milling down the entirety of the air horns... and asked if he would be willing to leave it intact in a few spots... after telling him that this was a 4x4 that would see use, and describing the air cleaner I was building... he said he could do it, and it was a good idea... said he might offer more of them like that...

So, I always felt I was the first... but now that I'm older and wiser, I suppose its possible he told that to ALL the girls? :pimp:

Vic probably left that area un milled, in order for the air cleaner box to have something to center itself on.

Most people had been milling it all off, and relying on the front casting around the injector harness plug, and the casting at the back behind the injector pod to hold everything in place…

I felt I needed some support from the sides for an off-road truck that gets bounced around.

Probably had my TBI done by Vic after yours.
 
i did my own and goofed by not leaving a few tabs to center the air cleaner but it worked .

i also did the hyperchips salad bowl but didnt like the still tiny hole on the stock base . so i makred it and plasma cut out the base and OPENED UP that air flow .

i dont run tbi anymore but the salad bowl and stock air cleaner is still on my k30 with edelbrock pro flo 4 . and i have the duct still on it to the core support .
 
Every tbi blazer I’ve driven always seemed to have a stiffer pedal than carb’ed square bodies. Not sure why, I just took it as a tbi thing.
