The "new" '73/80 P/U I got broke down today and I had to tow it to the Garage I have do work on my vehicles when I don't have time. I only have one day off this week until next Monday, so I have to get them to swap trannies for me so the wife has a ride. I threw the 350 trans I took out of the '75 in the bed for them to stick in the '73/'80. It was coupled to a 203. It now needs to couple with a 205 that currently is coupled with a 350. The question is.............

A 1973 cab on a 1980 frame and running gear.

A 1980- 350- 205

A 1975- 350- 203

Need the 1975- 350-transmission connect to the 1980- 205!

Will it work?

203 and 205 same shaft. and same 4 bolt to case with the tcase adaptor for the correct case. 1 possible problem tho. i have heard that 205 is shorter in the rear than 203 case . might need a drive shaft .

That's not a problem, the tranny is only thing swapping out. Bad in front of the 205, taking the 350 from in front of the 203 to put in front of the 205.

That's my quandary!

Ooooooooo, where the 'ell did that word come from? 'bout hurt myself!!!
