Re: 35\'s and stock gears??

you can run 35's with stock gears. Depending on the ratios though your could suffer very badly. If you have a OD trans mission keep it out of OD. If not, you will end up burning up your trans. Trust me, I'm got my 3ed one sitting in the car port waiting to go in...

You would want 4.56:1's for 35's.

wanna have some kick ass acceleration with them 35's and stock gears? Swap in a caddy 500 engine! Those babies love high gears. Actually if you could change the 1st and 2nd gears in your tranny to have a big difference and the motor wouldn't bog down at all.. Thats' was 500+ ft lbs of torque gets you I guess. Thats what I will be doing shortly. I am gonna keep my axles before I see what kinda gears I need. If the baby pulls fine with 3.08's I will stay with them but if it lags I will maybe go to 3.73 or something. I want good gas mileage and I know the caddy 500's are torque monsters.
