I miss my K5. Im thinking of getting a mid late 80's model so I can have overdrive and maybe one with tbi. I want to run 35's but want to keep the center of gravity low and dont want to bounce around on stiff springs. So Im thinking maybe 1.5" lift shackles and a Zero rate. Then put the :hack: to work. Im hoping I wont have to break out the 10 pound sledge. Then maybe swap in the axles out of my rusted out 73 K20 which are stronger, have 4.10's and a locker. Has anyone run 35's with only a couple inches lift? How much did you have to cut? Any pics? Thanks guys!!

well you can lower it a couple inches and run 25's if you'd like:haha:

when i bought my k5, it had a 2"-3" lift and 35's on it. on the street it would rub on full lock without trimming. i wheeled it, but never did anything flexy with it, but the fenders definitely needed hacking. wish i had some pics:doah:

to get good flex space, i bet you'll have to trim like the dudes running 40's on 4-5".
