365 hp / 428 lb. tq. from 350 TBI??????

ya them are some wild a$$ #'s they are claiming coming out of a tbi 350. i dont rightly belive all of that i have made alot of mods to my tbi 350 cam,headers,intake,tbi spacer,msd ign,k&n,duel exe(no cats) and im still not happy although i must say i have not gotton a custum chip made yet iv only moved the timing so it runs fairly well. so when i get my chip i plan on put n it on the dyno but i still do not think i will be close to what they are saying, i think there a little off in the head.

Turbo City offers a bored BB TBI that flows 730 CFM. It seems like you could get those numbers with that unit. This may be a stupid question but will a 730 CFM TBI make the same horsepower as a 730 CFM carb???

The numbers this company is claiming is 365 HP, with TBI, which is what the debate is about.

Highly possible with a mildy modded TBI. It's not that hard to do. Ultra basic laymans terms;
Build the bottom end of the engine like a stroker 383
Run a set of vortec heads or similar (IMO, Dart is the best bang for the $$)
Swap out the intake to an Edelbrock
Run a decent cam
Do the 50mm bore TBI mod w/ larger injectors (plenty of flow, better if you polish it too)
Run a set of long tube headers through 3" single exhaust or 2" duals w/ a x-pipe
Get a custom chip burned to accomodate the new engine

I know guys running monster TBI rigs. I was going to do it myself on my last burb until I got rid of it.

I dunn'o man...any 2-barrell TBI making 365 HP is a stretch. It can probably be done, but just barely. I would rather install an aftermarket 4-barell TBI unit, and know for sure I was going to make the numbers.

Aren't these guys running stock TBI heads? Thats what is seemed like when I read their site.

Why do you say that? I know of plenty of 2BBL TBI 454's that pull well over 365 HP. If you bore the 350 TBI unit, polish it, and run bigger injectors, you get more flow than a stock 454 TBI unit easily. It takes some work, but can be done. I prefer a 4BBL TBI unit myself, but with rising gas prices, a 2 BBL is starting to look attractive.:crazy:
