I like baffles, at least a well surrounding the pump/sender. For my K5 I used a TBI tank with an in-tank pump from a 92 trans am.

Sounds roughly similar to my LQ9 plans, I'm hoping to exceed 500 at the crank.

Been a little bit since my last post, finally pulled the passenger side head, this side was much worse on the back two cylinders...hopefully it's not so bad a hone can't take care of it...plan on pulling the rotating assembly tomorrow and running a hone through it. Yes that is sitting water and yes I did clean it out.

Good luck.
I hate dealing with rust.

How's this going, I'll have the same problem in a year or two when the itch for more power overwhelms my common sense?

I ended up selling the LQ4 to fund my D60 swap, the motor that's in there is running pretty well right now. I'll likely wait until after it goes to decide whether to convert or stick with old school. I still want more ponies, but other issues were more demanding for repair/upgrade. May come back to this in a year when the wallet has had a chance to recover a bit...and the itch for more power overcomes my better judgement. :saweet::saweet:
