38\'s on a 1st Gen....I\'ve got my work cut out for me!!!

I just picked up my new Moab 2002 tires....Swamper TSL 38.5" x 16 x 16.5" /forums/images/icons/cool.gif

Boy they sure look HUGE unmounted, and sitting in my garage....it's going to be fun getting them shoe-horned under the Blazer without cutting the fenders (especially with only 6" total lift!)

I'll post a few pics later on...

<font color="blue">No cutting? I have cut fenders and a 4" lift, I tried on some 38x15s and they barely fit just sitting on level ground.

i've got a 4inch tuff country softride with a 2inch body with a zerorate addaleaf moving the axle forward an inch and a half. i cut the front of the fenders off a long time ago and they don't seem to rub to bad for me. i have no clue as of the lift in the back. i didn't mesure a before and after but it's probably around 7-8. i love my tires /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

I don't know about you, but a truck running down the street on Swampers has a sound unlike anything else....I can always tell before I even SEE it, just by the sound.

Kinda like a Harley Davidson trademark "potato...potato...potato..." sound.

I love it! .....and yes I've pretty much given up on the idea that my Blazer will ever be a comfortable and QUIET vehicle! /forums/images/icons/smile.gif
