I have the factory 4:10's and going to 37 inch tires. I had 33's and the gearing was good. What should I be expecting with these gears and tire sizes. Eventually when I upgrade the axles I plan on going to 5:13's or 5:38's. Does anyone run this gear ratio with this tire size. I am just wondering what it will be like on the trails. I would just put them on and see but I am still out of country until mid May so this is really got me thinking. Any help would be great.

I have 38's and 4:10's and would definately like more gear... especially with the 2:1 low ratio in my 205.

My high-stall converter makes up for it a little bit though....

I have 4.10 and 37's and want to regear aswell. It is nice on the freeway but want just a little more lowend to get a good feel of my 383 :cool1: I can and will live with it but if I win the lottery that is what I am going to do next (note to self)(must start playing lottery) :)

Curious who is running 37's with 10 bolts.
PO Installed a front 10 bolt.... I'm gonna run it til it breaks then look for a 60. With a stroker and 38's it won't be long now.

I'm running 37s with a D44 & 12bolt for 2 weeks now. :dunno:

I'm running 37's and 4.56's and I think it is too low. Not that I am going to switch to 4.10's, but I will not switch when I go to 42's. Also, I have a 465 so no overdrive for me.

Keep in mind that if you have overdrive or not makes a big difference in which gear you need.

Bingo, I have 4.10's with 37's and it is about the right mix for me (TH350 = no OD). I can do 70 on the freeway and still move in town (it is not going to win any races though). I am going to try and run my 40's on the 4.10's too. Might change to 4.56 but who knows.

I think Jerry(JK5) is having ISP problems. But he was running 38's with 4.10's in 1 tons. He had a th350 and he seemed to like it. He is still running the same gears and 44's now... One thing that helps him though is he has a ZZ4... So he has good power! THis is all with a single 205.

If you're going offroad then just get the 5.13's unless you're doing high speed desert racing. (and I don't think you are if I do recall you want to do some rock/trail/mud)
