4.21 UPDATE Topless Suburban on Rocks - NARROWED Front ROCK

When is someone going to go full-bore and make a full convertible suburban? That would be sweet. I can't even really see why someone would want a half-cab K5, (while I have one) I just don't see the point. Someday it will be full vert.... soo much work and this stupid "work" thing keeps getting in my way.

That is the stock paint color that was on it - not sure what color it was - he wanted to paint it Kawasaki green - but ended up trading it...

I am not a fullfledged member, so this is the only place I can somewhat post.......

Igor I want to see some interior pics....please

I will be pulling everything apart here pretty soon to have everything blasted and do some more trimming and working all of the edges, so I can make sure the final attachment goes smooth........

How did ya'll attach the blazer to the Burb on the inside....

i think the reason your pics were not showing up at first is because texas4x4 was moving to a new server and the gallery was down for a while.

Sorry - I don't have any interior pics -

We left the Suburban inside shell alone - and only cut the outside sheetmetal off the Blazer tub. Then simply cut the Sub inner sheetmetal down far enough until we could rest the Blazer outer sheetmetal on it at the right height.

Hope that helps...

Here are some more pics...

How did you handle the tail lights......did you just remake the lip that wraps around, the bezels, that is?

I almost did this with my burb but I hated the long over hang so I hacked 22+ inches off the back . The burbs @ss doesn't hang up on rocks as much and my departure angle is alot better . I just need to cut out the back and tube it like bgreens rig and 4 link it .

Well the 454 is out and I am converting it to TBI.

I also stripped the 2wd BS off of the frame night before last and I am getting it ready for the ORD crossmember, bracing, tapped box, and the 52's.

I bought a new digital camera last night and so new pics will be up soon, hopefully!

I need to finish welding up the back, and setting up all the parts that I have ordered the past months.....
