Yep....4WPW is dumpping the Parma, Ohio store at the end of the month...

They say...it's because of "Bad Management"...
But really...they didn't want to pay the manager they had...
So...he moved on...

So....is this a sign of things to come???
I think it's a matter of time...and they'll ALL be gone.. /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif

The store in Columbus, OH just shut down also after being open for only a couple of years.

Wow...them too!!! /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

The pepboys I worked for was only open a few months before they closed it down. Come to find out the manager was skimming off the service bay side to the tune of $5k a month. They expected the store in a smaller city to keep pace with the main branches in Indy /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif
Several of us got laid off about 3 months in (the last 3 hired got laid off, 2 fired and 1 quit), they hired in some diversity /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif (an equal opportunity thing came up at their 3 month location review /forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif) and then they closed about 2 months later. That was one the few jobs I had I actually liked. Given I been longer that may not be the case /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

I bet shipping costs are killing them right now...
It seems like the Parma store...got most of there parts from CA...

Even though Boggers are made in TN...
they shipped me a set from CA...
that doesn't make much sense.. /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

I think...they've P/O so many people...
it's just a matter of time...
then they'll all be gone.. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

The Columbus store basically managed to P/O our entire 60 member club shortly after the original manager left.

THEY invited us to have our monthly club meetings at the store, as soon as that manager left they kicked us out. I also think they also had some of their employees join our club just to find out where the trails were, and then tell everybody who came into the store about the trails for marketing purposes. The reason I say this is that after these employees had been on each of our different trails nobody has seen them since (at meetings or trailrides). Our club had spent a lot of time mapping trails, making sure we were on legal roadways, and working with landowners and local government so we could run some trails that weren't actual roadways. We lost some of these areas because of a lot of people started running these trails and either did not know which ones were legal, or just didn't care and went and did whatever they wanted......I blame 4 Wheel Parts for at least part of the trail closings.......

That's a shame they had to do You guys like that..
But...I guess the owner encourages "Back-stabbing"....

They tried to pick my brain at the Parma store..
I'm sure glad I played stupid with our local places to wheel...

A couple of months ago I called the parma store to see if they had a set of Energy Supension transmission/transfercase mounts. The guy said he would have to order them. later that day I was driving by the store and we stopped to look around and there right in plan veiw was the mounts I needed.......I can see why It is closing.................Now I buy all of my parts from Summit /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
