$40,000 K10 (not a typo!)

I would love to just thrash that thing out in the woods. If only we all had money to burn. That motor fits in there nice - I must admit I do wish I saw that when I opened my hood.

besides the naked u-joints they forgot to paint the calipers, rear brake tee and sway bar too-- maybe that would make it worth $40,010

wish my sheetmetal was that straight. It looks pretty good to me but 40k is a real kick in the teeth.

wow, nice truck, but that price is ridiculous. He located about a half hour from me, but I've never seen that truck before

No way.

Boggers all backwards.
Fuel line through bed no grommet to protect.
Cab fire wall open holes not plugged off.
Ladder bar bracket 2 different size tubes welded together. Looks like crap.
Used the wrong symbol in listing time and time again. ( not b@m or l@l ) Its ( B&M and L&L )

Fixed it for ya. Now what were you saying?:haha::haha::haha::haha:

I would much rather have "big Red" that is for sale in the ad banner at the top of your screen.

:haha::haha::haha:
You would have to pay me to take it! I wouldn't even be interested if it was $1,000.00. The engine compartment looks like an orange threw up in it. Don't get me wrong I like Chevy orange but the crappy work and stupid things I saw are not worth it. Hell I have seen nice first gens for $15,000 that I would call showroom that thing is ...

id take it..sell the axles shocks and tires..then slap some one tons and bfg krawler t/a tires and ditch the nasty looking trac bars and put in a stock side tank.

sexy..

Must be a nice weather truck, no wipers

And i love the rusty peice of exhaust behind the headers.

And the door line and fender line dont line up

Tom

being able to see teh painted core support though teh grill makes it look like ****

You must not have seen what it has for an engine in it. I would take as many trucks like that as I could find for $5,000 each. That thing is straight and clean. I think you guys are jealous.:D I bet he has $30,000 into it. Add up how much you have in your truck. You may not want to, I didn't think I had as much into mine as I do.:eek1:

Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of things on the truck that I don't like, but there are a lot of very expensive parts on that truck. The engine is $13,600 alone.:eek1: The radiator and fans were around $1200.:eek1: Trans $2600. Fuel pump $300. Headers $800. Braided hose and fittings ~$400. Hood $500. This stuff adds up fast.

If anyone has questions about the truck the guy is very nice to talk to. I emailed him and he called me the next day. In the email I told him I didn't want to buy the truck I just wanted to ask some questions about it. He told me it didn't look like he would be selling it, but he had a lot of people calling to talk to him about it. He said he didn't mind though, he likes helping people when he can.

I just saw he got one offer, I wonder if it was serious.

Ah, you guys are a bunch of complainers.....

Sure, it's not worth 40K, but it's got a lot of good stuff in that truck that most of us don't even have!

He's got an immaculate paint job on that truck, from what I can see anyway. Orange isn't my thing, but it looks like he had a GOOD body man and that orange looks super glassy. Some of you may say "oh, I'd trash that paint in a week going through the woods." My friend, if that is your plan, your looking at the wrong type of truck to buy..... ;) I'd kill to have my body as clean and well sprayed as that truck.

GREAT tire and wheel combo, and boggers being backwards is a common thing. Ever been in a sand dune with Boggers? I've seen some guys around here that say it helps uncup them a little on te road, can't say as I never tried it myself. He just needs the bullet caps for the Welds though.:D Thats pretty piddly to crap on the guy with the direction of the tires. Give me 30 minutes, floor jack, and my impact and you'd have nothing to complain about.

I can't see much wrong with the shock and ladder bar setup. The front shock hoops looks functional to me and the ladder bars look like they would help it make a good pull on a weekend at the local fair pulling comp.

The D44, well, it's a little small, but for a more "weekend fun custom 4x4 like that, that WON'T see rock crawling and through the woods wheeling, the '44 will do.

Things I would do if I bought it....

1. Put a carpet kit in the truck, bare floors are for 1950's bobtail farm trucks with holes in the sheetmetal....not a clean restomod....

2. Change out that dash to a more factory appearing dash with silverado trim, probably the same with door panels.

3. PUT AIR CONDITIONING IN IT!!!! Again, no A/C is for 1950's bobtails loaded with lettuce boxes....a clean restomod Chevy should have A/C.

4. Go on HACKER PATROL..... sure, I can also see a few things that are a little rough around the edges, like the fuel line through the bed. But, when you buy someone else's project, you should plan on spending a weekend or two on hacker patrol fixing that sort of stuff.

If I had TONS or disposable income and time, I'd scoop that truck up in a second (I'd offer $20K) and take it home, spend a couple months cleaning up and taking off where that guy couldn't quite get it right, and make it one badass weekend toy.

Personally I think its a great truck, BUT...
For 40K you better have a 60 at the very least and really expect something like a Dynatrac or at least a 79 Ford w/ Dedenbear parts from the "C"s out. Better bumpers, and attention to detail. As for the interior, well at least its not shag. It just looks like he didn't pick a direction or maybe he just lost interest before he got the interior done.

Either way its a nice truck.

yeah, really, if you saw that pass you in the street youd prolly crap your pants listening to it run. i know i would. its got a few unfinished spots, but oh well, id buy it, not for 40k though.
