40" Pro Comp Extreme MT2 $399

ggaaaaaaaa!!!!

$409.99 for a smaller 37x12.5x18 tire. Doesn't make any sense and I'm sure as hell not going to a smaller "than my current 38s" tire. pfff just cause it's on an 18, wft. How is 37 the largest for an 18?!

I have 2 friends with em. Haven't really had em in mud yet but icy roads snow rocks they work really well. I have never been a fan of pro comps but this tread design seems to work really well

My experience in the past is that all pro comp tires are junk....but for some reasons these look nice than any of their other tires

Me too but these seem to be doing better than alright. Doing really well.

Im trying to find some reviews...it seems like they recently started doing the 40's so nothing much out there. I have been warned about pro comps being crappy but maybe they've turned it around. One thing that really stands out about this tire is the 40k mile warranty.

Thats alot of miles to stand behind so maybe there confident these will be the newest competition for the nitto's, mtr's, and toyo's of the world.

Tax return time is coming...id really like to see there be more 40 inch options out there as it makes me woozy to think of spending $2000 on tires.

My buddy's running them in a 36 or 37, can't remember. They gum up pretty bad, even with wheel speed they're not cleaning well. I've had to pull him out of a few mud holes he should've gotten through easy.

Pro Comp used to be made by Cooper, now they are made by Maxxis. Much better tires now than a few years back. Plus they've got a mileage guaranty of 40,000 I believe.

I'm currently running 37x13.50 R18 swamper M16's on my truck and have been thinking of putting 17's on my Superduty instead of the 18's it has now so I can run these. Some of the load ratings are even better on the 17.

mmmmm 40's

Man. I hope i will see 40,000 miles on my burb

Or maybe I'll try some 40" Goodyear MT Kevlars? They might be better than the ProComps.

I have been looking at tires in the 40 13.5 17 size, and have looked at the two that you mention, and also the toyo MT in the same size. It is the only one that I have experience with, and has worked awesome in all conditions except hard packed snow and ice. No experience with the 40 incher though?

Im still trying to find a review of these but they seem like there new to the market. I've only seen one review so far from a guy with a jeep that looks like he wheels with them at low pressure. Id love to get some goodyears, toyos or nittos but im just not able to justify 2000 bucks for tires. I think 4 wheel parts does 3 for the price of one every now and again so id love to get in on that if it ever happens.

This seems like a pretty good review. What else are you trying to hear :dunno:

Thats not a review. These tires obviously arent meant for mud bogging just by looking at the lug pattern. Its like saying my drag radials didnt get good traction on black ice. there arent any mud bogs out here which I should have specified but again id be buying boggers or something with spacious lugs to sling dog ****. Im looking for a review from someone whos put a couple thousand miles on them and wheeled the piss out of them. It would just be nice to know if they are a durable tire worthy of putting through scenarios like the rubicon. As I mentioned they may just be too new to get a real review....perhaps ill drop the dough and figure it out...:dunno:

The guy at 4WP in Fresno had Xtreme MT2 in 37x12.50 R17 on his Rubicon Unlimited last time I went in to buy tires. He said they have taken him every where he wanted to go. And giving the rock rash on his wheels and rockers I'm guessing that it was somewhere fun.

At that time I was buying the new Goodyear MTR and he was trying to get me to buy the Duratrac instead as he previously rode both these tires and liked the Duratrac better than the MTR. His was the first bad review of the MTRs that I have heard. I bought the MTRs anyway.

Like skunked said! I have the 40s. They are awesome tires. The grip is great, got through the rubicon and half of fordyce without a locker lol.

They take serious abuse. If you look closely at the koh ultra 4s....many of them are running mt2s this year as compared to 1 or 2 last year, even big name guys.

I knew that making your own tires as a primarily bolt on offroad company was unlikely, so I called them on it and they made hints at being made by maxxis. The old pro comps were made by cooper which werent all that great but these are awesome.

Theyre really quiet on the freeway and ive run them at 5psi as well. I highly recommend them. If you get them from 4wp theyll mount and balance them as well.

I am running 38s right now and happy with the size but these are cheaper. I have 4.56 that is my only concern. Just gotta sell my three good km2's
