HAHA, maybe I should have ordered my axle with those then in the first place, darn....

one question I might ask first is, do I really need the 40´s or are 37´s large enough....
Truck is still street legal, needs to pass inspection, it is used on the street, used to tow and haul stuff and also serves as a weekend offroad fun toy. So it kind of needs to do everything well....
IMO, only you can really answer that. Realistically 40's (or even 37's) aren't great for towing.
Also check out the Yukon hubs. A lot of guys are digging them. I think with the overdrive you'd be fine with 37s to offset the 4.88s.
A guy at our local park switches his tires as soon as he gets to the park, as he DDs his rig, then switches back when he's done.
Just a thought.

If you have not bought tires yet you might check out the Radial Maddog tires from Pitbull. They are 38.5X13.5 and come in most rims sizes, also they are load range E. I am going with these when i wear out my 37"MTR's, I really like that they are load E tires. Here is a review 8lug did on them Link. Good luck and let us know how you like whatever you end up with!
I like them but i have the older MTR's and they don't have a lot of time on them because i just finished my frame swap. I hear a lot of good things about them but mine are military take offs on 16.5" alum wheels. That was my main reason for getting them as they were $400.00 for the tires, this way i can make sure everything clears and works then spend some money on new tires and wheels later.
I personally like a 5.13 with a 40
Does anyone know if 37" tires fit into the rear wheel wells without cutting them? I mean full stuff, as far as he axle will go up!?
I know I have to modify the front, but the rear??
Thanks!
I have 37" KM2s and did not have to do any cutting in the back and had the tire stuffed as far as it would allow.
I can stuff my 40's in the rear with stock fenders![]()
