I pulled my 350 SBC out and tried to drop the replacement 400 SBC in today and found that the nose of the torque converter does not pair up with the crank. I took a micrometer to it and found it was 1/8" too big. The trans is a rebuilt 700R4 stock. Any suggestions on how to find the correct torque converter? I've googled the topic for hours and still have no idea what I'm looking for. I've attached a link to the photos. You can see on the nose of the converter where the crank was pealing the paint while trying to put the motor in.
