42" TSLS.. How I gonna make them fit?

Wheel base stretched. 56" up front 64s and zero rate in the rear, no inner fenders.

step 1: ditch the entire body
step 2: add tube, staying away from the range of motion of the big meats
step 3: wheel the piss out of it. :thumb:

Hahaha, riiiiiiiite. You must live where there is just rocks and sand. I wanna be able to play in the mud too and not kick myself in the ass every time the rig needs a bath

52" front springs, 64" rear's w/ flip and belltech shackles, ORD cross over w/ hydro, ORD front shackles, 44" TSL's on 3.75" bs 12 bolt H1's, '89 K5 frame w/ '85 K10 cab. This is how much you can trim if you keep the inners, I removed mine shortly after this pic and cut just above the body line on the fender. I also had to cut the radiator support just under the marker lights.

Here is mine with 42's and about 4" of lift...lots of cutting. I don't think you could get away with leaving the inner fender wells in though........I had to cut away some of the rad support also. My axle is 2" forward from stock.

I dont wanna ditch the inners cause I still wanna play in the mud and dont want to rip my hair out every time I go to wash it

I can upload them in the photo gallery. It takes forever so I load them right into the thread. I forgot not everyone can see them..:doah:

actually it rains a lot here in Washington... and Im sure I'll hit some big water/mud holes in my truggy. Nuttin says you can't add some lexan/sheetmetal panels to cover the gaps in the tube...

Stalion,

Are those 52's up front? and 4" of lift total up front? Judging by your pics I bet I could keep my inners with some body lift my 4" lift springs (stock length), and my zero rate with the axle moved 1.5" forward. I'm so excited to get my 42's. I'm going to be picking them up from the guy next saturday. You wont believe the deal I got on them.

Ya those are 52's up front. Let's see some pic's when you are done! I got a great deal on my 42's also. That's the only way I can afford this hobby....lol.

what did u use to paint the 60? is it going to stay grey? i like it like that.

O h*ll yeah I'm doin it right from the start. Thats my moto for this build. At least for the most part; I really should start with 52s up front, but when I started this build they weren't really poplular and I didn't know a lot about them. The dana 60 was sand blasted then grey because it was epoxy primered. Its black now. I'll try to post more pics when I get more done. I should really start a build thread on this site too.
