he's got 20" lift? thought the biggest was 12"

He had custom springs made at a place in St. Louis, Missouri. He is embarrssed because it still has 1/2 ton axles so I'm not sure I'll be able to get a pic. He has plans for a D60/14 FF or Rockwells, whichever he finds first.

What if you were able to use a really long trailer hitch as the lowest point from your bumper or frame? Then when you go off roading you could easily remove it. You dont even have to tow any thing just make a long trailer hitch. Thats what i am gonna do when i lift mine. hope that helps.

Okay I must be missing something because minnesota law says my bumpers can only be 25" from the ground ! thats an inch from stock height bumpers ; how can I have any fun? I am frustrated! my bumpers now are at 26.5" with 35s I want a good ( or best I can get ) aproach and departer . And the bigger the tire the better ,I want to get that 14b off the ground. should I just build the truck the way I want and take the tickets ?? I see guys taller then me ,is that what they are doing??? you guys running any the trucks pictured on the road?? I will drive my truck as a everyday driver O yes oooyes I will

most cops dont bother us as a hole i think. because we keep the trucks safe or safer than stock. and thay look good and we dont bother to many people.

in my state thay have frame rules and headlight laws for 88-89 or newer trucks. and the frame rules go by size 1/2 ton is about 4" and 35s 3/4 ton is about 4" and some clearing of fenders and mabey 37" 1 tons are 6" and 38s thats sqeazing it tho.

if you build a nice truck and dont drive stupid thay probly wont bother you at all. and if its a dd get some 36- 38 tires for street and put on 44s for play.

it says here that the drop bumper has to extend I think 10 " from the center of the vehicle both directions and have 4 points of atachment 2 with no angle greater then 45 degrees and the only way you can run that is if your stock bumper is no higher then 30"

who comes up with this stuff:confused:

nope. the measurements for frame laws are taken in the front and rear of the frame rails themselves :(

I used air bags off of a touring bus. At their lowest with 38" TSL radial, the truck frame sits 2.5" higher than a stock truck. And raises 12.5" at full lift.

I also live in MN and I see a lot of people in my town running ridiculous drop bumpers. Oh well, my DD isn't quite legal for height but it's close enough that no cop has ever measured it. The thing I always get in trouble for is my tires sticking outside my fenders. MN law states that all vehicles must have complete and total fender coverage of the tires or some such bs. If people would stop tailgating me they wouldn't have a problem.

3" body, ~4" suspension, 45" Goodyears.... just a touch taller than a 44" swamper

Parked next to an XJ with 35's on the beach.

I was on an Alaskan bench one... down on the Kenai and I bet that thing does pretty good on the beach :cool1:

i live edina MN possibly the worst city ever to drive any type of modded vehicle. cops are the worst here. but i got away with drivin my blazer everyday with 9" of lift and 40s with no drop bumper. the bottom of the bumper stood at 38" 13 over the legal limit and i never got a ticket just goofy looks.

I just move from there, that town is anal preps 16 year olds driveing brand new jags makes a comen fellow like me feel little out of place! if you could run your truck there then i have nothing to worry about anywere else on the planet
