Off-Road Mag is not offroad. They are all show trucks. I think they should just rename the mag to Wanna be offroad, or My Sh!ts gonna break if I actually go wheeling.

I get so sick of these posts.
i'm gonna have to agree with ya there. i think 10b+44's is ridiculous ,just like most of the guys here, but its getting a little old. seems like there is one a day now.OK, we get it, show truck guys dont know beans about how to properly built a truck for wheeling. now lets all laugh at them in private:D

BTW i think 4x4 Truckin' is a perfect name for that mag.:waytogo:
or Offroad Truckin'. causs half the trucks in there are 2wd.

4.8s are stronger than you guys give them credit.
Definantly. My buddy has a 2000 Chev 1/2 with stock size M/T's. We drag raced up his silage pile 3 times and I just barely beat him.

POP as in the sound that 10 bolt will make the minute he tries anything off road
I doubt he will ever try anything offroad, because he probably has no interest in that.

No, but he still built it to drive, and 1/2 ton brakes arent even marginal when stopping a 44" bogger. I wouldnt be suprised if he breaks that rear 10b on the road either, that is a lot of strain on that truck. Even show trucks should be built safely, and 44's on stock axles and brakes is not safe.

Edit: this was replying to RJF, dont know why it picked a random person to reply to:confused:

:screwy: I'm going to say this one more time.....he didn't build it to wheel.

first of all, the two pics in that mag are of him fording a stream and flexing out on a hill. doesnt exactly look like he's parked at the mall.

second of all, i was semi-defending him, in a backwards sort of way. im tired of seeing these show trucks picked apart causs they arent built to be run hard.
the majority of these posts on this thread are pointing out these flaws. i was simply saying that we all know these guys dont build these trucks for wheeling so not waste bandwidth pointing and laughing.

i do agree with joez. i dont think 1/2 ton brakes w/ 44's are safe no matter what its built for.
