Does the 454 and the small block have the same bolt pattern. I am assuming not but figured I would ask.

Which bolt pattern? The tranmission will bolt to the big or small block. The starter and distributor (if both motors are HEI) will be the same also. The firing order is the same.

Cool so if I get a 454 I can bolt it to my existing turbo 400?

The motor mount location is the same also.

That isn't a Ford you're swapping engines in. No need to figure out what city your engine is named after or change everything just for an engine swap.

Some times Iwish it was I Have 3 ford trannys 2 transfer cases and a 460. I dont have many extra gm stuff
