What the hell do you fat block guys do with the open area of the heads that likes to swallow hardware?

I'm talking about the spout between this guys fingers.

The upper void is exposed above the intake so anytime I drop something it is somehow magically drawn into this spot, like there's a little black hole in there. And since it's all iron and an oddly shaped recess, it's hard to get a magnetic tip in there.

I'd have to look at mine tonight but I don't remember that being exposed, seems like the Felpro Performance intake gaskets cover all of that. I'm also using an old Edelbrock Performer 2.0 intake so it may be made different than more current stuff.

I used a Weiand intake and FelPro "Printoseal" gaskets. Could it be a peanut port thing.

sounds like you used the wrong gaskets, my felpros covered that hole and I think I have the same manifold as you. I'm sure I have some pictures on my HD here.....

I don't think that he has it torn apart.
It sounds like it is exposed with the intake on.
My mid seventies heads don't have that exposed.
Hey dork, look at the OP picture

And i know its running so shut it hippie

The fix, of course, is to swap to older oval port heads.
